Florence W. Clowes
Jupiter, Florida
Biography:

Florence Waszkelewicz Clowes (floclowes@gmail.com) and Lois J. Blackburn (ljblackburn@earthlink.net) previously teamed up in Southeast Florida to pen Bones in the Backyard, following separate ventures in Connecticut and Michigan. Florence’s Polish background led her to publish two non-fiction books (Pol-Am, a history of Polish-Americans in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, 1862-1945, and Polish Folk Legends). She served in the Peace Corps in Jamaica and reviews books for The Polish American Journal.

Lois, a former UPI reporter and magazine freelancer, also wrote two books (a Florida cookbook and a political treatise, as a “ghost”). Between them, they enjoy eight children, plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
