After college, Sally A. Kinnian began successfully writing short work for newspapers, eventually expanding into magazines. She has been a smoker all of her adult life. She lives with her husband of many years in the Pacific Northwest on the edge of a forest. They share their lives with cats and dogs, all of whom they adore. She spends her spare time working with several nonprofits, in whatever capacity she can assist in. She also enjoys gardening. She is, predictably, an avid reader.
