David Coates holds the Worrell Chair in Anglo-American Studies at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Born in England and now a naturalized US citizen, he lives in Winston-Salem with his wife and teenage son. David Coates previously taught at the universities of York, Leeds and Manchester in the UK. Over the last three decades he has written extensively on British labor politics, global political economy and American public policy. This is his first novel.
