F.M. Michaels holds a B.S. in Broadcast Management and is a graduate of North Carolina State's Administrative Officer's Management Program. In 2006, he retired after 31 years at the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, St. Augustine, Florida. At retirement, he held the rank of Colonel and was Director of Support Services which consisted of Traffic Enforcement, School Resource Officers, and various agency programs. He works part-time as a 9-1-1 Engineer and Consultant. He currently resides in St. Augustine with his wife of 20 years, Judy, two stepsons, Tim and Andy, and two wonderful grandchildren, Ashton and Olivia. A Jog to Eternity is F.M. Michael's first book.
