Biography:

Dorothy Warren, a fifth generation New Yorker, graduated from Miss Spence’s School in 1925 and grew up with many close associations in Ruth Draper’s world, often attending the great monologist’s New York performances. As an Officer of the WACs in World War II, she was the Director of Special Training for WAC overseas units. After a long career in real estate management and brokerage and in a variety of far-reaching not-for-profit organization, she has devoted her retirement to photography and biography. She is the editor of The Letters of Ruth Draper 1920-1956 and author of Ruth Draper — A Portrait of An Actress.

Sacrificio!
Sacrificio is a study of Lauro de Bosis (1901-1931), the Italian poet and patriot and of his struggle against Mussolini’s Fascism, which ended with his heroic solo flight over Rome dropping leaflets exhorting the King and the Italian people to rise and defend the Italian state. He flew west and was never seen again. read more
