Fenton Babcock was brought up in California during the Great Depression and served three years in the Navy’s Amphibious Forces.
Earning three degrees at Yale University placed him in line for a career with the Central Intelligence Agency. The strong career support of his late wife over fifty-five years was followed by that of his present wife, Evelyn Babcock, who helped in recording the variety and intensity of Fenton’s assignments within the CIA.
His tours in East Asian countries and work in three of the CIA’s four directorates led to his serving in the Intelligence Community Staff.
