With nearly forty years of professional experience in academia, government, business, organizational governance, ministry, and counseling, K. Elizabeth Oakes, PhD brings a broad background to her writing. She has significant clinical experience in the treatment of substance and behavioral addictions, and has provided pastoral and spiritual care for spiritual retreats. She is currently associate professor of pastoral counseling and conducts counseling workshops and presentations in spirituality, cultural diversity and addictions recovery.
