I was raised in the Pentecostal religion and so I told a friend of mine that he needed to speak in tongues to be saved because the “BIBLE” said so, but he said Jesus never spoke those words. After reading the four gospels several times, and much to my chagrin, I finally had to concede that fact. Eventually the words of Jesus that I read in my red letter New Testament began to become more important to me and I soon realized that Paul was a counterfeit and that only the words of Jesus can lead us to salvation. As Simon Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.” John 6:6
