Biography:
Sarah Larson is a writer who has published in newspapers and magazines for twenty years. She writes features on preserving the past, folk art and folk music, classical music, fashion, and book reviews as well as cultural reviews of theatre, symphonic concerts, and art exhibits. She has received national acclaim for video documentaries, and created Stone by Stone, a community based service learning project.
Her workshops on “Using Storytelling to Improve your Writing”, “The Writer in You”, and “First Person Singular” have developed writers who remain active in their craft. She writes children’s books, plays, poetry, and wrote and produced a rock opera on Melville’s Moby Dick in Shanghai in 2007. She is also a storyteller with the Asheville, North Carolina, Storytelling Circle and a member of the People to People Storytelling Delegation to South Africa. She is a member of the International Women’s Writers Guild and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
