The author has been involved with mental health and addiction treatment since 1984. He has been retired since 2007. He earned his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Tennessee (Business Administration), his Masters Degree from Troy University (Counseling and Human Development), and his PhD from Century University (Educational Psychology). He has been married to Elizabeth since 1981. She has been in his heart since he was 12-years old!
