Born and raised in a small town in Minnesota, Jerry Funk moved to Texas when he was 30-years-old and there met his wife, Gayle. With their son, Travis, the threesome moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1994 to be closer to the mountains that they loved to ski. Jerry learned that the mountains offered much more than skiing. Having discovered the joy of climbing 14,000-foot peaks, he has become an avid hiker and climber. Jerry has worked for the U.S. Postal Service for the past thirty years and is a member of the Colorado Mountain Club.
