Tom was born and raised in Michigan. He spent his working life as a supervisor at General Motors. He now resides with his wife in Mathews, Virginia. He has had a love of poetry since high school. He has been writing poetry for the past several years and has won the Richard V. Bailey award for humor from the Chesapeake Bay Writer’s Club for three of the last four years. He has been inspired by his grandchildren as well as the events of every day life.
