Biography:

Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) Hardie M. Higgins, US Army Retired, is a United Methodist minister from Oklahoma. He enlisted in 1961, serving in both the reserves and active duty for a total of seventeen years rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class. He returned from Viet Nam with PTSD. In 1978, he answered the call to ministry and was ordained and commissioned a chaplain in 1984. In February 2003, he deployed to Kuwait for the invasion of Iraq ultimately serving just north of Baghdad at Balad Air Field. CH Higgins knows both the challenges of the enlisted soldier and officer.
