Born Michael R. Van Pelt of Brinkley Arkansas, sixth of eight children. Being raised in the south in the mid seventies had its ups and downs. He grew up commonly poor, but with the love and care of his parents he turned hardship into a positive outlook.

As a young child Michael had a big imagination. He always dreamed that he would be famous one day, as many kids his age did. Michael would dream about going places he has never been and meeting famous people he would meet, but dreams are dreams. Michael knew at the time those dreams may not happen, so he decided to write stories.

Michael eventually developed a love for writing poetry. He needed even shorter way of telling his stories without it being to boring or long. And throughout his life his poetry became his life story.
