Biography:

Betty Evenson spent most of her life working at the Bright Spot, a small gas station, lunch counter and grocery store in Hiland, Wyoming. Her father built the Bright Spot, and later Betty and her husband Maurice owned and operated it. Betty penned her first novel at age six and continued writing the rest of her life. The Bright Spot afforded many ideas for stories and poems and were duly noted in her many journals. Betty retired to Casper, Wyoming in 1974 and published her memoirs, Fifty Years at the Bright Spot, six years later. She died in 1997.
