I attended high school in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, where the town’s mascot is

a Hodag. The Hodag, a local myth, is a green dragon with saber tooth fangs and white

spikes running down its back and tail.

This may explain my fascination with dragons, and why I’ve been a Dungeons

& Dragons enthusiast since the first edition books were printed.

I had written two dozen modules by 1992 and found if I strung five of these

together in my world, Athanasia, I would have enough material for a book and its sequel.
