Dr. Somers retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 30 years, He serviced in various positions of command and supervision around the world to include commander at RAF Fairford, England and Camp Slayer, Iraq as well as acting director of the Iraq Survey Group. After retirement, he taught strategic management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University before joining Veritiss as vice president for operations. In 2010, he moved to Florida but still works part-time as an executive vice president. He has a Master of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Philosophy in organization and management.
