Born in Cincinnati on the eve of the Great Depression, Liz Ostrander took her Batchelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati and later her Master’s from The Ohio State University. She taught English and Technical Writing at Ohio State before moving to Philadelphia in 1971, where she was a fundraiser, taught at the University of Pennsylvania, and worked on the 1976 Bicentennial, the General Assembly’s 200th, Philadelphia’s 3ooth anniversary and the 300th birthday of the first Presbytery in America.
