Dave Archard was born in Rochester, New York. Raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey, he graduated from Bergen County schools in 1954. After attending Broadcast Coaching Associates in New York, he began his career at a small station in Myrtle Beach, SC. In the sixties, he achieved high ratings in audience surveys as a DJ at a Tampa power house station before moving to a Top 40 outlet in Miami where he won awards as a copy writer. Settling in Daytona Beach, Archard was operations manager for a Number One FM station. Now retired, he resides with his wife in Florida.
