Biography:

Lucy spent her formative years on the East Coast of England and in London. She immigrated to the US after securing her ‘Green Card’ in an immigration lottery. Moving to CA in 1991, she worked for the ‘Salinas Californian’ for many years, then pursued a real estate career in South County. Lucy lives in the Soledad countryside with her husband Mike, daughter Francoise – and a whole ranch full of rescue animals; currently 5 dogs, 5 cats, 2 goats, 4 llamas, gold fish galore, Abbey Rhode, her daughter’s horse, and her own beloved rescue horse Winston “Winning” Sebastian Churchill Mason Jensen.

Window on the World
Having been a passionate writer all her life, Lucy began to write regularly for the local paper, after she settled in Soledad, CA. ‘Window on the World’ began in 2003 as a weekly newspaper column in ‘The Soledad Bee’. Lucy wrote about her life and about life as she saw it. Friends, family, animals, the world beyond; none were spared the view through her window. People who didn’t know her, said they felt they came to know her through her columns. Her local librarian Angie Lopez told her she needed to compile a book from her columns; so she did. read more
