Grace Beniquez was born and raised in the South Bronx. She has been writing poetry since preadolescence. Her passion for writing led Grace to attend Bard College where she earned a BA in Literature. She went on to earn an MA in Creative Writing from The City College of New York. She has worked with inner city high school youths developing radio programs for Teen Talk Radio; was recognized by the Waterways Project of Ten Penny Players for encouraging students to write poetry. Her work has appeared in The Bard Observer, TimBookTu, The Labyrinth, and the Performance Poets Association Literary Review.
