My friend Pat Lacey’s passion for the history of Neillsville is reflected in her efforts to bring awareness to the concept of historic preservation. As a National Register Consultant she has authored thirteen successful National Register Nominations for structures within the City of Neillsville.

It seemed a natural progression for Pat to take that research and update the histories of the men who formed Neillsville. Many of the revelations may not mirror the well-repeated stories that have passed through several generations and that is why she has extensively documented her resources.
