Richard Joy is a veteran social worker, teacher and father of four. He holds a BA in Political Science and a Master’s in Education. During his twenty-five year career he served his community as a Child Abuse Investigator, public school teacher and manager of both Substance Abuse and Juvenile Justice Programs. In these capacities he repeatedly witnessed injustice meted out as a helping hand. As social and law enforcement agencies began to intervene within his family, he could be silent no more. Today Mr. Joy enjoys volunteer work with children and continues to write concerning issues of social justice.
