Dee Hawkes, retired high school football coach and teacher, began his long career as an assistant coach on the staff of Jack Elway in Port Angeles, Washington. He held five head-coaching positions, including Department of Defense schools in Japan and Germany and three in the state of Washington. Dee has earned many awards, directed many camps and clinics, developed the Coaching Academy for the Seattle Seahawks, been a motivational speaker, prep columnist, and penned four books on football. He is a lifetime member of the American Football Coaches Association. He resides in Bothell, Washington, with his wife Judy.
