David V. Raacke is a native of South Louisiana. After graduation from High School he entered the Armed Services as a US Navy Seabee. Upon completing two deployments to Viet Nam he was discharged from the service in early 1969. His professional career in the Oil and Gas Industry spanned 47 years providing Inspection and Project Management services throughout the Gulf South area. In retirement he began to write poems about his reflections and to his grandchildren. “Times in the Depth of My Mind” is the results of that effort to express his thoughts.
