Shirley McGoldrick has been living aboard “Ariel”, a 41’ Formosa sailing ketch with her husband Fran and African Grey parrot “Sinbad” for over eight years. They have traveled up and down the east coast from New Jersey to Florida and met more wonderful boaters than they can count. She has weathered many storms during her years on the water both weather related and health related and tried to meet each one with a touch of humor. Some of her adventures have been published in LivingAboard magazine. This is her first adventure into authoring a book.
