Writers’ Roundtable met for the first time in August 1986. The idea came from a new resident to the Richmond, Virginia area, formerly of Baton Rouge. Fourteen aspiring writers of poetry, fiction and non-fiction attended that meeting. Today only three of the original charter members remain in the group. The membership has grown to two groups, totaling 25 with an average attendance of twelve in the Friday group and five in the Saturday group. These published and unpublished authors enjoy writing, critiquing their work but also supporting each other in their quest to be heard.
