Wendy Haskett began writing professionally at 14, for BBC radio “Children’s Hour.” After immigrating to California in the 1960s, she combined freelance writing with teaching yoga, and spent the ‘80s writing features for the Los Angeles Times. During the’90s, while teaching writing at MiraCosta College, she began a local history column for the North County Times which, after 300 columns, evolved into the Backward Glance book series.
