Excerpt of the book
One student stood up after Miss Carson, the moderator, recognized his hand.
Im addressing my question to the gentleman in the middle.
Ted Holloway stood up. The student continued.
Sir, in one of our classes we are taught that two things cannot occupy the same space at the same time. If that is true, when the Supreme Court took prayer out of our schools did they inadvertently let drugs and violence in?
Ted cleared his throat for a moment and said,
Your question is very enlightening and this is an issue that we must revisit. Young man I have never quite heard anyone put it that way but I will certainly give it serious consideration. Perhaps we need to find out if it is possible for the Supreme Court decision to be reversed or struck down. I suppose many of you believe most politicians supported the removal of prayer from the schools. That is simply not the case. Many of us are red-blooded, God-fearing Americans the same as you and your families. We share the same concerns.
