Abstract:
The reader of my book will find out how the Germanic soul reveals itself in three epics over two thousand years. The Germans acted in the same manner with boring similarity and repetitious scenarios during the whole time span of their history. The way they conducted wars, the way they treated civilian populations in subdued countries was identical up to small details two thousand years ago, one thousand years ago and during the second world war. The treatment of the weak and defenseless was particularly striking. In the year 58 B.C. they tortured children hostages. In the year 1006 they attached children hostages to advancing siege machines and exposed them to the arrows and stones of their own fathers defending the town. During the second world war they put civilian women on the top of their advancing tanks and also shot children, pregnant women and other crippled civilians.
