Abstract:
Stephen Wilhelm Ph.D. says a dilemma implies that a difficult choice must be made, usually between two alternatives which could involve long range and even feared side effects. He feels the dilemma faced by Einstein was rooted in core religious conviction. Einstein, who acknowledged God as the author of mathematical order in the universe and the source of virtues such as beauty, awe and majesty; had to choose whether or not to know God, the Savior, God of the Bible, who would have all men to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth.
