Using ingenious style, eighteen fictitious characters compel the reader to live this story through phony letters to the editor of the local papers.

Abstract:
Dear Editor: is a fragmented history of glamorous Aspen, Colorado at the turn of the twenty-first century as told by eighteen fictitious characters through 180 published letters to the editors of the local newspapers. The story is a sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant examination of the oftentimes self-absorbed town that many rich, famous, and ordinary people call home. Politics and posturing are the name of the game in this marvelous fusion of fiction and reality. The town’s citizenry push the story along while the anonymous author pulls them in for a view through the eyes of a fourth generation Aspenite.

I stumbled across the book by change. Once I started to read I could not put it down.I know everyone says that when they like a book but I truly wanted to meet these characters, maybe even date one. The author R. Marolt must be a demented genius.
