Abstract:
St. Michaels is a love story that encompasses the trials and joys of two people who find each other in their later years. Jason Kirby considers his successful business life mundane and he struggles with the pain of divorce. Despite having to leave his family behind, he sells his real estate company and moves to the shores of the Miles River in St. Michaels, Maryland—the town he’s always loved. In this paradise he intends to further his career as a poet and author.

Here he meets a weathered old sea captain, Joshua Cramer, who befriends him. Their relationship develops into one filled with humor and trust. Jason has a chance meeting with Becky Cramer, the captain’s niece, and they fall instantly in love. Their families meet and hit it off, but before long a major crisis arises that tests everyone’s strength and love.

This tale proves that from the ashes of death, pain and divorce, two people can rise again and find the happiness they’ve always searched for but never found—until now.
