Stoney Baker, the black cowboy from Arkansas, is outraged. Ride with the TCG as they go Backtracking in search of his missing wife.

Abstract:
Stoney returned home from a trip into town hoping to spend an evening with his wife alone. To his surprise, she wasn’t there. She left no word of where she had gone which was unusual. Never would one of them go off without letting the other know of their whereabouts. There was no evidence of a struggle, inside the ranch house was intact. Outside the house, Stoney discovered sets of unfamiliar horse tracks suggesting somebody had been there while he was away. The thought entered his mind that his wife had been abducted, but by whom and why. The black cowboy had nothing to go on except to ponder over his past adventures. Travel with Stoney Baker and his friends as they go Backtracking to search for his wife.

Customer Reviews

Great story, well written , 01/23/2006
Reviewer: Ronald Brown
This book is what this country needed to give the black cowboys a new lease on life. The old American west stories of today fail to give the black cowboys their fair share of the pie. This book brings the black cowboy to life in epic fashion as it might have been and was so for many of the black unsung heros of the American frontier.
