As time marches on, Bernard Baker is still pursuing his dream to be a professional writer. To whatever heights he might reach, writing remains his favorite hobby and pastime.

He is a published author of poetry in several international literary publications and has published two novels, The Tall Cotton Gang and The Cotton is in Bloom, and he now presents the third novel in the series, Backtracking. Bernard received a notable review in General Motors/United Auto Workers People Magazine in the winter of 2003. The accomplished author and autoworker now has 30 years of credited service with the General Motors Corporation. The city of his employer, Indianapolis, Indiana also recognized Bernard’s accomplishments with a full page spread in the prestigious Indianapolis Star newspaper in February of 2003.

A native of the State of Arkansas, often reflected in his stories, he hopes to retire there and build a horse and cattle ranch. A Vietnam veteran, Bernard is married and resides in Kokomo, Indiana with his wife and four children.
