The Surfacing of the Phoenix shows there are both good and bad in every race/being. It shows compassion/forbarence is needed to advance relations between all beings in the universe.

I really enjoyed the first book, but I think Donna outdid herself on this one. The Surfacing of Phoenix was thrilling, exciting and still had you wanting more. Katherine the heroine once again goes beyond what she thinks she can and brings hope to the Castieons that they may live among the humans in peace. I can't wait for book three..there is another coming isn't there?
