The Amennation Spirit War is at once a coldhearted novel and an unabashedly brutal testimony to the remarkable strength and majesty of the human spirit. Set in the back streets, flophouses, and gutters of a morally bankrupted town, this graphic, twisting (and twisted!) novel is a technical marvel that boldly and carefully vacillates along that thin bloody line that separates yet merges perceptible reality and navigable moral truth to bring to life a simple story of salvable lives lived in the shadows at the high ends and the low ends of the human experience.
