These are the time-warped adventures of Rupert Pilgor, Jr., unwilling lackey to a damaged contraption from the future whose aggressive protocol to return home forces poor, poor Rupert to meet every person on Earth from 1017 B.C. to 1983, topsy-turvy encounters—clicks he reckons—partly responsible for humanity’s permanent exile to the G2 space station in 2057, a relocation prompted by a lethal superbug, HIV-51, a term that coincidentally appears in Rupert’s 1983 potboiler Tales of the Black Earth and puts him in the cross hairs of MiLBC, the Men in Long Black Coats, thus terminating his days as a writer…almost.
