Abstract:
The day Winnie Johnson is fired from her job she seizes the opportunity to apply her skills and talents in a new career. When resumes end up ignored and job interviews turn sour Winnie struggles to find the lighter side of unemployment. Acting on bad judgment and misguided intentions, Winnie loses the support of family and friends and is forced to face some pretty harsh truths that will ultimately give her the strength she needs to find a place for herself in the workforce. Told through Winnie’s diary entries, Chewing Broken Glass takes you inside her world of thoughts and frustrations on trying to find and keep a decent job.
