Until I learned the calmative qualities of butter pecan ice cream, I remained in a fight/flight response mode. These letters are for those kindred spirits who wander in their own private Twilight Zones.

Abstract:
Before I learned the calmative qualities of butter pecan ice cream, I thought seriously about taking my tea cup to the river. From my sister-in-law’s spur of the moment decision to dig up her husband’s grave, my daughter’s planned sabbatical to Kosovo, and my inability to grasp the simple concept of insurance deductibles as they relate to third person injuries incurred when a dependent is hit by a blue Bronco that is simultaneously licensed in two states with liberal Governors.

Scarlett’s Letters are for those kindred spirits who wonder if they are the only inhabitants of personal Twilight Zones.

A MUST read hysterically funny book for everyone , 09/21/2006

BRILLIANT!!! This book is absolutely a MUST READ for everyone! Scarlett is simply masterful at taking life's everyday "challenges" and making them absolutely hysterical. You can actually picture the scenes in your head as you read her stories. We've always been a fan of Erma Bombeck but Scarlett's Letters take things to a completely different comedic and creative story telling manner. We've already gone through many a box of kleenex as we've read these stories over and over wiping our eyes and trying to catch our breaths as we literally cried in hysterics. So...grab the book, a box of kleenex, a comfy chair and stock up on the butter pecan...and ENJOY!

Family humor at its best , 10/09/2006

Take a couple of accident prone teen-aged daughters, throw in a few dysfunctional siblings and an aging Lhasa Apsa and you get an unending source of hysterical tales and light-hearted satire. The perfect gift for all of the mothers on your Christmas list. But wait until after dinner to give it to them or they may be too absorbed in reading it to cook!
