Abstract:
Sangria depicts everyday actions in Matagorda, a country in Central America fighting a civil war with insurgent Progresivo forces. A foreign-aid agreement with the United States brings advisors and supporting military units into Matagorda to help battle the insurgency. The scenario follows the lives of members of the U.S. military establishment into battles against rebel troops in which local units of the Matagordan Army and Marine Corps are involved. Actions involve day-to-day experiences of men such as PFC Michaels, Major Hatten, and General Hamilton. There is a mix of live battle actions and interactions between Matagordans and Americans.
