Abstract:
Somewhere the paths of science and faith diverged . . . the former obviously taking the pole position. When practiced in purely ethical fashion, however, science is more and more proving to work hand-in-hand with our beliefs. Not only does Hanson confront us with the connection between biology and belief, I agree he explains and makes lucid our essential and undeniable interconnection with all living systems. Cyborgenics unravels our increasingly decadent society (hastened by a global mass media complex) making clear and within context the main issues of our time. Who are we and where are we going as a globally connected community?
