Abstract:
In search of reliable employees, who would appreciate a steady job, I explored the possibility of hiring women serving short terms in correctional facilities, for minor infractions. Letters from Prison is a compilation of responses received from the women contacted.

The letters are included as originally written, without benefit of editorial corrections. They stand alone as a gauge of each individual’s initial and continuing sincerity, interest in potential employment and personal agenda. Were they looking for a pen pal, a source of financial assistance or an old man who might be valuable for future gain and benefit? You decide.
