This is a wonderful book that R. D. Roberts wrote. It was so good that I had a hard time putting it down and even got up at 6:00 A.M. on Sunday morning to finish the book before I went to church. This book is well written.

A book that anyone can enjoy , 09/26/2007
Reviewer: Albert Miller
I received "Walnut Grove" on a Sundayon my way to church. That afternoon I began to read and finally forced myself to quit at bedime. The next day I finished it. It is a page turner. There is something in it for everyone. There is love conquering all odds. There is pride and prejudice, mystery and suspense as well as alot of exciting events. I laughed and cried as mans inhumanity to man was skillfully portrayed. Fact and fiction blended to make a great read.

  Captivating characters, plot , 10/16/2007
Reviewer: Bob Ethridge
I started reading Walnut Grove and rather quickly got "hooked." It is a wonderful story. R. D. Roberts has a gift of creating interesting characters and weaving a great plot. The tie-in to actual historical events and places made it all the more real. I literally was emotionally involved in the story and shed many tears at appropriate instances in the plot. I hope this is not Roberts’ last book.
