Biography:
R. D. Roberts was born and reared in Oklahoma.
He holds a degree in music education, Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee and a Master of Church Music, Southwestern Seminary, Fort Worth.
He has directed music in churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and South Carolina.
For 33 years he served as program chairman, script writer and handbell director for the Governor’s Carolighting, an hour Live-Telecast over statewide ETV.
In 2005 he received “The Order of the Silver Crescent Award” – the State’s highest honor for volunteer service – from the Governor of SC.
He is married and has three daughters and four grandchildren.
