Abstract:
The Winter of 1945 is a true story of the life journey of Anna Q. Phillips Dobrinski. Born in Oklahoma in 1926, her father was of French descent, and her mother was one-half Cherokee. Her first teaching experience was in high school when she taught a Junior High class because of the shortage of teachers during WWII. Following high school, she taught in a one-room school in the Whitewater Community. After her marriage and living in the West Texas oil fields, they returned to Oklahoma, and she became a farmer.
