Abstract:
After finding their way to love in The Canary Chronicles: The Way to Maura (2004), Kyle Sullivan and Maura Owens Baden thought that their happiness would be enhanced by marriage, but the Furies had deemed otherwise. Their troubles began with Maura wanting a baby against Kyle’s wishes. As their relationship started to fall apart they came to know the anguish that sometimes accompanies love. When Maura’s pregnancy turned into a nightmare, Kyle experienced the deep pain of loneliness and grief and she had to assume that the Furies had come to bestow a final vengeance, again.
