15 year old Dominique was consumed by the fire Nate’s touch ignited in her. Nothing could dissuade her from going all the way. The only glitch in Dominique’s plan was fate.

Abstract:
As Fate Would Have It is a story about the difficult journey from puberty to adulthood, life altering decisions, and fate. The story explores the life of Dominique, a young girl who learns early that despite promises and dreams, life doesn’t always turn out the way we plan…especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Dominique’s troubled passage from puberty to adulthood is proof that experience is the best teacher in the world and more importantly that fate has the final say.

I loved this book, it was very fast reading. I did not want to put it down, nor did I want it to end. I felt so involved with the characters, as if I knew them. It was excellent work for the first time around for D. Williams. Can't wait for the next book.

Ambitious first novel chronicles teenage love from a first love angle. Dominique is a starry eyed teenager who loves her life. A fascinating look at painful growth and recovery from a broken heart and disappointment and anger at her parents. This book is an ideal choice for book clubs. I was curious how the book would end and was not able to put the book down. I highly recommend. I hope a sequel follows.

I found the book exciting and fast reading in that I could't wait to read what would happen next. The romantic and loving relationship between Dominique and Antonio had me drifting into a romantic fantasty of my own. It was sad that she could not overcome her anguished past. As a Philadelphian I could imagine the scenes with Dominique and Nate and could see myself right there with them. I an waiting for Ms. William's next book.

This book took me back to a time when things should have been simple, but weren't then and definitely aren't now...youth. It's a reminder that choices we make matter. It drives home the point that even if we don't make a choice we have made one. It's a reminder to stand up for what you believe even when no one else does...because no matter what - you will be the one to live with YOUR choices. What's next D. Williams? Keep us all posted!

Amateur to say the least. , 01/26/2009

This book was poorly written. The choice of words and bubonics clearly show that the writer is uneducated and an amateur to say the least. I thought I was reading a ghetto comic book. The outcome of the book was also very predictable.
