Abstract:
Generation Man is the story of Bob Stock, a small town boy from the wrong side of the tracks, who became a consummate generation sales engineer and manager for General Electric Company, arguably the foremost supplier of generation equipment to the electric utility industry. Insight is given into the business of selling large generation equipment, as well as Bob’s role as the “quarter back”, his struggle to get ahead, the camaraderie with his colleagues, his activities in the Little League, and raising four adopted children with his wife of sixty-five years. His sales expertise and excellent business and personal relationships helped General Electric Company to be awarded purchase orders for hundreds of millions of dollars.
