H. G. Wells had it all wrong. "Peace Of The Worlds" presents hypothetical television news coverage of the day of Earth's first "Contact" with extraterrestrial civilizations from all over the universe. From "We interrupt this program for a special news bulletin" - to - "A fine view of the universe..." Orson Wells would have loved broadcasting this story!

Abstract:
It was the greatest story ever broadcast, the day Earth met the rest of the universe. CNN covered it live. UNET and UNB re-broadcast it to the universe. FOX News doubted it. The CIA lied about it. Private militias were prepared for it. The military fought it. Churches disagreed with it. Roswell celebrated it. Monitors allowed it. Millions of people left Earth right in the middle of it. Over six billion fan clubs had been looking forward to it. And trillions of intelligent beings watched it all unfold. ...Then things changed.

I found the premise of this work unique in that the conflicts most often evident in Scifi novels are secondary to the overall plot. The author's unique format takes some time to get to used to, but that adds to the newness of the approach and resolution of the storyline. I liked it and found myself pondering the ideas offered. A great choice if you are looking for something different to read.

Delightful, entertaining, seriously informative, and seriously spiritual. I loved how Dax spelled out the craziness any "public" space landing would induce. And I thoroughly enjoyed how that craziness got related to. Definitely a book that makes a big statement about a rather hushed subject. A very enjoyable read.

Absorbing the reader to find more of the mystery. The authors statement is rare and uncommon. A delight to read.
